Lanka Tour Driver Return and Refund Policy

Lanka Tour Driver is committed to providing excellent service, and we understand that plans may change. This policy outlines our terms for cancellations and refunds to ensure transparency and smooth processing for all our customers. By booking with us, you agree to the terms specified below.

1. Refund Eligibility Based on Cancellation Schedule

  • 100% Refund:

    • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the tour start date are eligible for a full refund of the advance payment.
  • 50% Refund:

    • Cancellations made between 7-14 days before the tour start date will receive a 50% refund of the advance payment.
  • No Refund:

    • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour start date are not eligible for a refund, as arrangements and resources will have already been committed.

2. Non-Refundable Items

Please note that certain fees, such as processing fees, bank charges, or non-refundable deposits specified during booking, are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refund amount. These charges vary depending on your payment method and may include:

  • Processing fees related to online payments.
  • Fees incurred by international banks for currency conversion, if applicable.

3. Refund Process

To initiate a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Request Submission: Email us at info@lankatourdriver.com with your booking reference, cancellation reason, and any additional relevant details.
  • Verification: Our team will verify your booking and check your eligibility based on the cancellation schedule.
  • Processing Time: Refunds will typically be processed within 10-14 business days from the date of confirmation.

Please note: Refund times may vary depending on your financial institution’s policies.

4. Payment Method and Currency

  • Original Payment Method: Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used during booking (credit card, debit card, or bank transfer).
  • Currency Conversion: Refunds will be processed in the same currency as the original payment. Please be aware that currency fluctuations or additional bank charges may affect the final amount received.

5. Rescheduling

In cases where customers are unable to proceed with the tour but prefer to reschedule, we offer a one-time rescheduling option:

  • Notice Period: Rescheduling requests made at least 7 days prior to the original tour start date will be honored without any additional charge.
  • New Date Availability: Rescheduled tours are subject to availability and must be completed within 6 months of the original booking date.
  • Limitations: Rescheduling is permitted once per booking. If a rescheduled tour is later canceled, refunds will follow the original cancellation policy terms.

6. Changes by Lanka Tour Driver

While rare, if Lanka Tour Driver must cancel or significantly alter a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, safety concerns, or government restrictions), customers are entitled to:

  • A full refund of the paid amount, OR
  • An option to reschedule the tour to a later available date, OR
  • A comparable substitute tour, if available.
